I know everyone has talked about this in the past but I uploaded a video to Vimeo over 2 hours ago and I still get this screen. Ain’t that some bullshit? I get that if you are a paid user your video jumps to the “front of the line” for being converted to Vimeo’s encoding but since when is it OK to charge your users for a your own technical failings?

I’m annoyed and cranky. I need lunch.

UPDATE: Went to lunch. I’m a lot less cranky now but the video is still waiting. We’re well over 3 hours now. YouTube was able to do the conversion in 15 minutes and even analyzed the audio track I used in order to disabled it based on the record company’s request. Vimeo is telling me I need to wait another hour and a half. That’s completely ridiculous. Fix your shit Vimeo.

UPDATE 2: About 4.5 hours into the process, still waiting and Vimeo is now unable to tell me when this video will be ready for me to post here. I board a flight in 24 hours. Let’s hope it is converted by then.

UPDATE 3: Over 7 hours into the fuckfest that is Vimeo. Still getting the same damn screen. I might’ve considered upgrading except now it’s just the principle of the thing. I pretty sure I will never be using Vimeo and this “service” again. I mean, 7 hours? Come the fuck on…

LAST UPDATE: Ok ok, this is it. We’re going on 15 hours of no conversion. The good news is, apparently I’m not the only one having this issue. So, I guess when Vimeo fixes this, I’ll have video for you to watch.
