Tonight, we went to see The Brothers Bloom, a movie neither of us really knew much about outside of the cast. We watched the trailer this afternoon and decided this was the movie for our date night. Needless to say, we didn’t have super high hopes.
Let me tell you what… this movie is great. It’s a more mainstream version of a Wes Anderson flick. It was ridiculously humorous, well acted, extremely well written and, despite telling an almost storybook love story, not sappy in the least.
I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed this film. We see a lot of movies and I can’t remember the last time I walked out of a theather feeling like I got my full monies worth. I did with this flim.
Am I gushing? I’m gushing. Yeah, I liked it that much.
P.S. Don’t believe me? Watch the first 7 minutes of the movie on their website.
