Woman needs her husband like she needs a hole in... →
“There’s no way she should be alive,” Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said. “The bullet completely passed straight through her brain. It entered at the middle of her forehead and exited from the back of her head. She should be dead. It’s one of the most unreal, bizarre things I’ve ever seen.”

Deal Brings TV Shows and Movies to YouTube →
With the new section, the company will be competing directly with the growing array of Web sites that serve up full-length TV shows and movies free (with advertisements) on the Internet. The next biggest site — Hulu, a joint venture of NBC Universal and the News Corporation — is perceived by YouTube to be a competitive threat. Hulu, which features NBC and Fox TV shows among others, has grown...

Reasons Why I Love the Internet #32148 →
Saving Silverman, the full movie, on YouTube right now. It has Spanish subtitles but that’s ok because this movie could quite possibly be my favorite movie of all time.

Happy 144th Anniversary of the Ending of the Civil...
Not only is today CSS Naked Day, it’s also the day General Robert E. Lee surrendered 28,000 of his troops in Appomattox, Virginia to General Ulysses S. Grant, effectively ending the Civil War.
In less than a week, President Abraham Lincoln will be assassinated.
Read the Wikipedia article about the ending of the Civil War. I’m just lazy today and don’t feel like recapping...

I was worried.
According to the press around here, the state of Michigan would cease to exist if MSU lost the game last night. All us Michiganders needed a win or else we couldn’t possibly go on with our lives.
I’m here to report everything is normal. Even after they lost by 17 points to a far superior team. No worries.

This is a game for America, this baseball!
I did this last year, but I think I’ll make it a tradition as long as I do this blog.
In 1955, the Tigers own Ernie Harwell wrote a essay in The Sporting News that is the perfect way to kick off Opening Day Night.
A Game For All America By Ernie Harwell Baseball is President Eisenhower tossing out the first ball of the season; and a pudgy schoolboy playing catch with his dad on a...

Susie: You guys, I'm really going to miss this place.
Coop: Me too.
Ben: Hey, let's all promise that in ten years from today, we'll meet again, and we'll see what kind of people we've blossomed into.
Susie: Yeah!
Ben: What time do you wanna meet?
J.J.: You mean ten years from now?
Coop: Let's meet in the morning so we can make a day of it.
Susie: Okay, so what is it? Is it like 9:00? 9:30?
Coop: Well, let's say 9:00, that way we can be here by 9:30.
McKinley: Well, no, why don't we say 9:30, and then make it your beeswax to be here by 9:30? I mean, we'll all be in our late 20s by then. I just don't see any reason why we can't be places on time.
Gary: Okay, then, it's settled. 9:30 it is. All agreed?
Together: Agreed.
McKinley: Good, because I have something at 11:00.
Gary: You just have like a trapper-keeper full of appointments, right?
McKinley: No, I just have something at 11:00, and I can't change it, because I already moved it twice.
