Step 1: Ignore consumer demand for cleaner, more fuel efficient cars.
Step 2: Go bankrupt because nobody buys your shitty cars.
Step 3: Ask for and receive bailout money from taxpayers.
Step 4: Use said bailout money to stop California from mandating cleaner, more fuel efficient cars.
The sad part here is that the auto companies actually have a good case. ...

Something that wasn’t funny 1 star, 2 movies and 12 years ago is still not funny today. Thanks, Hollywood, for ruining the career of our pudgy little hero though. He’ll look back at his performace on a straight to DVD feature film fondly, I’m sure of it.
Watch Miller High Life's 1 Second Super Bowl Ads →
That’s right, one second commercials.
The spot will focus on the brand’s current campaign that features the burly High Life delivery man who aims to reinforce the brand as a “good, honest beer at a tasty price.” MillerCoors notes that air time for a 30-second commercial during the game is selling for as high as $3 million.
These one second ads, of course, are nothing...

Why is there a sudden increase of feet growing in spots they shouldn’t be on babies? Seriously, this needs to stop. It’s REALLY creeping me the ef out.

Sometimes Facebook makes me smile...
An old family friend found and friended me on Facebook today. She earned the title “Aunt Jo” from my sisters and I since we spent so much time with her at church growing up. Once my family left that church, we fell out of touch for whatever reason. Well, just today, I saw that she sent me maybe the sweetest message that I could have ever asked for:
Hi Addam, it has been many years...

President Obama's Inaugural Address →
My fellow citizens:
I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.
Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising...

Happy Inaugration Day 2009!
For everyone’s sake, I hope it’s way warmer that it was 4 years ago. I remember we got hit with a major snowstorm in 2005 and, anyone who has lived in DC can tell you, people in DC have no idea how to drive in snow. Not only that, it was about 4° outside and people were getting frostbite.
Also, Happy Slow Bandwidth Day at the Office! Everyone will be live streaming this event on the...
Happy 200th Birthday Edgar Allen Poe. →
I know it’s MLK Day and all, but today makes the 200th birthday of Poe.
Today marks the 200th birthday of Edgar Alan Poe, and as happens every year the mysterious Poe Toaster marked the date by placing three red roses and a half-filled bottle of cognac at his Baltimore grave. The identity of the toaster isn’t the only question surrounding Poe - his presence in Baltimore and the...

– Lonnie Bunch, Founding Director of the National Museum of African American History and Culture from an interview I heard on NPR this morning.
The reason I think the quote struck a chord with me is that this is the approach I take to almost every confrontation or argument I’ve ever had. Every...
