– Miracle comeback christens Rodriguez era
I’ve never been quite as stunned as I was on Saturday. I can’t even count the number of times I looked over at my buddy and saw his jaw-dropped, mine doing the same. It was something incredible to witness. At the stadium, everyone seemed just as...

This Mets game should be national tv. I feel guilty not everyone gets to watch too.
It is! Sitting here in Detorit, it’s on ESPN. Won’t tell you I’m rooting for the Cubs though…
My cousin was in the New Yorker... →
… and I had no idea. I was just making a wedding list and I Googled her only to find out she was featured in a New Yorker story… from 2005. Whoops, missed that one Addam.
Watching WGN’s sports segment on tonight’s newscast, the topic turned to the White Sox’s last regular season series in Minnesota. The Twins play in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, as most sports fans already know. This is all fairly common and straight-forward for a newscast with a nice set-up by the sportscaster describing how this is an important series for the White Sox....

palin's yahoo mail hacked →
Sarah Palin’s email gets hacked by Anonymous (right, that Anonymous). And given the legal controversy surrounding her email, one wonders if the fact that her yahoo email accounts are now deleted constitutes destruction of evidence or violations of public-records laws. Its hitWikileaks too, but, I’m not sure they have more then what’s already released (rapidshare).

Quick holding site for the wedding. That image is from our suite at the Ambassador East Hotel, where we stayed and where I proposed (it’s the Dean Martin Celebrity Suite). Expect more info to be there in the future. But in the meantime, it’ll do.

“IMDb is now showing full-length movies and and a great selection of full-length TV episodes directly on our site — for free!”
Dope. Something to go against Hulu I hope.
forget twitter
unreliablewitness:
I’ve sacrificed so much yet received so little, and so now I must finally do the honourable thing and shut down my Twitter account. Over the course of a year I have quietly filed away nearly 250 useless updates and, needless to say, the world has scarcely benefited from my spastic bursts of wit and wisdom.
As for why I’ve decided to abandon Twitter, let’s just say that I’m...

Read the comments thread to see it happening. Crazy. Seven fucking years.

I have chills just reading this.
In the matter of one email thread I was on this morning I found out:
One of my childhood friends is getting married in June… Looks like we’re flying to Seattle.
This same childhood friend is having a child in Feburary.
Antoher childhood friend is moving from Atlanta to Guatamala.
And these guys are my best friends in the world. Pretty BIG NEWS for one morning.
Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner →
Chuck Jones’ 10 rules for the creation of a Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoon:
Road Runner cannot harm the Coyote except by going “beep, beep”.
No outside force can harm the Coyote — only his own ineptitude or the failure of Acme products.
The Coyote could stop anytime — IF he was not a fanatic. (Repeat: “A fanatic is one who redoubles his effort when he...

The fact that this paragraph is on the internet makes me smile.

Now that I’m thinking about it - Republicans seem to saddle that moral high horse ONLY when dealing with the opposition’s moral transgressions. When it’s their dirty laundry on the line, the rallying cry is “everyone makes mistakes”? I wish this stuff would be left out of campaigns entirely, but if the Republicans are going to loudly, violently, repeatedly crucify liberals for every...
