A little back story here. In college, my friend Craig hung out with a lot of athletes. He lived with a bunch of football players so he’s always had a connection to Michigan athletics. Onto the story…
Over Thanksgiving break last year I met up with a couple of my friends to spend that day at the bar, drinking and watching football. I was excited as I haven’t seen these guys in a...

Protonotes →
This is genius. Instead of having a client take a screen shot, throw it into a PDF and annotating the design, Protonotes, with just a few lines of Javascript, makes it possible to create posts-it on your webpage or comp for review. It also has a feature to all your to save those comments directly to your own MySQL database with just one more line of code. I’m positive I will be using this on...
Björk and Sigur Rós Team Up For Náttúra Concert →
nostrich:
Björk and Sigur Rós doing a free concert together in Reykjavik to raise awareness of the destruction of Iceland’s landscape is great. National Geographic streaming the entire concert on Nat Geo Music is even better.
June 28th, 7pm to 10pm GMT. Be there.
Wonderful. A great way to wind down the work week. That’s 4pm to 7pm for us in the eastern time zone.

AmazonMP3's Daily Deals via Twitter →
cubicle17:
If you’re looking for DRM-free music on the cheap, Amazon’s MP3 store maintains a twitter stream for their Daily Deal (older album for ~$2) and Friday Five (5 albums for $5 each).
I just started following this and it’s already my wallet’s least favorite twitter stream.
Damn. This is awesome and I don’t even use Twitter.
5th foot found on B.C.'s south coast →
My thought process:
Where are the other three left feet?
Is there a shark swimming along the Vancouver coast that can’t stand (zing!) the taste of human feet?
Are these from pirate initiations where your peg leg is installed?
So that’s where all the missing socks in public dryers go…

Woman Calls Orem Police To Free Her From Her... →
Once officers were able to talk to the woman on the phone, they were able to tell her how to manually operate the slide lock mechanism on the inside door panel to open the door and free herself.
I’m just waiting for a “Happy Late April’s Fools Day” article.

Sarah Jessica Parker Looks Like A Horse →
Yes, she is horse-like. But so what? That doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. Or a bad actress. In fact, she’s a pretty darn good actress if you asked me. Still, being cursed with that omnipresent chin mole must weigh on her mind. I once bumped into Ms. Parker at a Manhattan Starbucks in the West Village. She looked sad. I said to her, “Why the long face?”
Right now, just for posterity’s sake, I’m predicting a BIG night in...
– - Me. Monday, June 2, 2008 at 8:04pm. Let’s hope I don’t jinx them like I did the Pistons the other night. Update: God dammit! I’m like Nostradamus but without the funny name and correct predictions. See you again Wednesday, Sidney.
"Bad spell-checking causes name changes in Pa.... →
nostrich: Automatic spellchecking strikes again. Middletown Area High School’s yearbook listed Max Zupanovic as “Max Supernova,” Kathy Carbaugh as “Kathy Airbag” and Alessandra Ippolito as “Alexandria Impolite,” just to name a few. “It was kind of funny, but kind of rude at the same time,” Ippolito said. Not rude. Impolite. Get it? And Max Supernova has nothing to feel bad about; that’s an...

French fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent dies at 71 →
Not much to say here. The guy was a legend.
