Iranian Official Singles Out Persepolis →
Last Saturday, Alexis and I spent 6 straight hours at the movie theater. We started with Persepolis, then moved to the Oscar nominees for Animated Short and finished with the nominees for Live Action Short. I had no idea what to expect for any of them but I was genuinely excited by more than a few. Persepolis was one of them. I knew nothing of the story when the credits started rolling. I...

AlltelRacing.com →
I’ve spent the last few weeks at work building and refreshing this site. With today’s running of the Daytona 500, Ryan Newman actually won (something none of us actually thought could happen). It makes the long nights and intense days worth it, even though I don’t understand NASCAR racing. It’s nice to be associated with a winner.

You know the Wii News menu? Well, Yahoo has created that in Flash for every non-Wiier out there. Pretty smooth implementation if you ask me.

Borders offers preview of new concept store →
The 29,000-square-foot store is not so different that you won’t know you’re in a Borders. But it’s filled with new digital features unlike anything the $4.1 billion Ann Arbor-based bookseller has offered before - like a kiosk where customers can mix and burn CDs and a video conferencing device called the LongPen that lets an author sign a book electronically. It’s nice to...

– InPhonic’s Missed Connections, Going Public Article This was my former employer while living in DC. It was blantantly obvious, even then, that the company was shady. I was given extra stock in an effort to “hang around” for a little while longer. Today, that stock would be worth a...

Amazon to buy Audible for $300 million →
Everyone’s talking about the other acquisition prospect which, in my humble opinion, is doomed for failure (and I’m a stock holder in both of those compaines). Amazon and Audible, however, is a match made in heaven. This could swing the online distribution of audio into Amazon’s favor. A few nights ago I wanted to test out the Amazon music store to compare it to iTunes so I...
